Complaints All complaints must be filed either through the Warren Police Department or the Warren Animal Shelter. Animals Accepted The Warren Animal Shelter impounds stray dogs and sick or injured cats only. Persons wishing to surrender an animal must contact a private humane agency (ie: RISPCA, Providence Animal Rescue League, Potter League). Animal Adoption Any person wishing to adopt an animal must file an application and must be at least 18 years of age. Fees There is an $100.00 adoption fee and a mandatory $20.00 spay/neuter deposit, which is refundable once the animal has been altered. Animal Health Cats are routinely feline leukemia tested, and all dogs are routinely heartworm tested. Both cats and dogs are routinely vaccinated for rabies and distemper
